i got mine done a week ago, it faded a little the first day cause i was messing with it but it still looks good. the “pain” was definitely bearable, i was laughing during it. my two friends got it with me and they said it didnt really hurt, i mostly felt the buzzing vibration of the needle. we didnt bleed, there was no swelling or anything. i went right home and talked to my family without anybody noticing. best spent 60 bucks ever!

I am getting mine done in a few hours… I’m not liking the fact that it could fade really quickly, but it is my first tattoo so I think I’ll accept that fact, but I definitely wouldn’t continuously touch it up. I guess I’ll pick another part of my body for a tattoo for the near future!

i got one 2 days ago. i’m 15. i got my boyfriends name, and he got mine the next day. his name is kain, and the ‘k’ is already half gone. the tattoo itself didn’t hurt that much, but this was my second tattoo. i bled a little, and the guy burst a blood vessel in my lip. it didn’t cause any pain, but it didn’t look nice. the tattoo itself looked amazing on the first day, but it just continues to fade. i’m going to get it re-done asap. it cost me £10 for a four letter name. plus, my parents have no idea, and they don’t even notice it, unless you actually pulled your lip down and showed them. i recommend it to anyone wanting a tattoo their parents won’t find.

I got one done yesterday, It’s of the word “Love” but the O is a heart. My boyfriend is getting true on his lip, because if we break up before it fades we dont want each others names to drive us crazy. It’s extremely hard for any artist to tattoo on the inside of the lip because the ink bleeds. So if your getting one don’t get a picture or any hard fancy writing. I already have two tattoos on my hips, and the one on my lip did not hurt at all. Keeping your mouth dry and clean is the best way to keep it from fading. Use non-alcohol mouthwash and sleep with paper towels in your mouth. Dont eat or drink anything at least a few hours after you get it done!

i have had a lip tattoo and i had in done 18 months ago it has not faded at all. i didnt need any after care, i have had no problems with it at all. i got my boyfriends name quite low in to my lip so if we eve split up no1 ever has to see it.. or if i really wanted to i could probably chew the ink out! … defiatly would recommend this tattoo idea as u dont have to worry about it looking sily when your old and showing on ur wedding day etc. and the pain isnt that bad. its over so quickly!

For everyone thats saying they fade, it depends on how your upkeep with your mouth is. after getting it done, do not use mouth wash. keep a papertowel on your inner lip to keep it dry while it heals. when you sleep, put paper towel in your cheeks because thats where saliva glands are. After it heals (a few days, since the mouth heals fast), you can stop doing this.
There are maaaaaaaany things you can do to keep from fading.

I planning on getting a lip tattoo without my parents consent. Here where I live there is no permit they need to sign or anything. I’m still worried when they pay my dentist, or orthodontist, they’ll find out because of them. I’m also wondering if it’ll hurt since it will be my first tattoo.

I got a lip tattoo 4 days ago, I did swell a little bit but did not hurt to bad during it. The buzzing of the tattoo needle tickled a bit.
At the moment it looks faded but I heard it is because of the swelling. I’m planning on getting it touched up once it heals fully.
I got Love in cursive. Looked awesome when it was first done. we will see after the healing process how it looks.
The reason why I picked a tattoo there is because I did not want anyone to know or see it. My parents nor my boyfriend knows about the tattoo. I am planning to be a teacher and they do not allow teachers with visible tattoos.

i have Fuck Off tattooed on my lip. it really didnt hurt that bad. i have a tattoo on my finger and that hurt a lot more than my lip did. The first time I got it, it faded within 24 hours. i went back and they redid it for free and now it looks sickkk

i got mine yesterday..i got love in cursive and the O is a heart. it looked so nice when it was done.. few hours later, after drinking water it smudged! he made it very low in to my lip but unfortunately my lips are quite big therefore u can tell that my inner lip is kinda blueish / black.. and now its more noticable because its smudged

Someone.. Pain is bearable.. I would say to tell the tattooer person to go over it twice so the ink can have a good hold of ur skin so u won’t have to keep getting it re touched

I just got mine done on Saturday and now its Monday. It’s almost completely gone. I didn’t really take any care after it though. I went right to an ice cream shop and had some and was eating and drinking. So I think that is a main reason it didn’t stay. I’m going to get it touched up this week and hopefully it’ll stay longer now that I know what to do.
First, it didn’t really hurt that bad, but I think because it was so close to my face, my eyes started to water. Also, mine didn’t swell or anything, but I didnt have a little ink on my teeth and lips from it until I brushed my teeth. Even though it is fading, I can still feel the “scab” on my inner lip. I’m 18 so I didn’t need consent but i told my parents. It cost me 50 and I gave a 10 dollar tip.
